About Us

Families of children with disabilities enjoy special blessings, but they also face unique challenges.

Through the efforts of our volunteers and supports at ACCESS, we strive to help families by raising funds to provide financial grants to families of children with disabilities to purchase adaptive equipment, assistive devices, home/car/van modifications and other interventions that are not covered by private insurance and/or Medicaid.

Since its inception in May 2010, ACCESS has provided over $100,000 in financial assistance to these local families in need with purchases including wheelchairs, adaptive bicycles, augmentative communication devices, and home modifications. Our annual fundraisers include “BooFest”.

The ACCESS Fund is a fund of the Northshore Community Foundation an organization described by I.R.C. Section 501(c)(3) as a nonprofit organization that is exempt from federal income tax and to which contributions may be tax deductible in whole or in part as a charitable contribution.  Our federal tax identification number is 61-1517784.
