Welcome to the ACCESS Equipment Exchange (AEE)
AEE assists children with disabilities to achieve a higher quality of life and greater independence through increased access to assistive technology and equipment.
Assistive technology (AT) is any kind of device or tool that helps people learn, work, communicate and live more independently. AT can be very simple and inexpensive, like a modified knife and fork, or it can be very sophisticated and costly, like a computerized speech device or power wheelchair.
AEE is a free online database of previously owned assistive devices and equipment, in addition to a listing place for those who are in search of specific equipment.
The goal of the Equipment Exchange hosted by ACCESS is to put assistive equipment that is not currently being used into the hands of a child who can benefit from it. It is a one-stop shop to donate and find gently used disability equipment and assistive technology.
The AEE is primarily for Louisianians, although we do accept entries from neighboring states. The program is designed to facilitate equipment exchange between individuals and is not for the use of vendors or distributors.
Use the buttons below to donate or request a piece of equipment. You may browse our listings anonymously (without having an account or being logged in), however to post your own items you must be a registered user and be logged in.
